RentHub

Overview

RentHub aggregates over 1 million rental listings per week from 100+ public web sources, covering apartment complexes, single-family rentals, and co-living units across the U.S. Its dataset spans back to 2014, is updated bi-weekly, and includes granular attributes like rent, unit features, amenities, and marketing descriptions—along with unique property and unit identifiers for robust longitudinal analysis. Built for researchers, RentHub offers unmatched temporal and geographic coverage for studying rental markets in high resolution

RentHub data consists of publicly available listing observations from different internet-based sources. All data points come directly from rental advertisements online.

There are three distinct categories of sources:

  1. Manager/owner/investor websites with listings that cover different size ranges of multifamily and single-family rental organizations.
  2. Internet listing sites (commonly called ILSs). This includes national, regional, and local sites.
  3. Classified advertising sites.
