Overview

Shopee Panelist Info provides account and demographic attributes for the email panelists whose Shopee e-receipts are captured in the companion Shopee E-Receipt Data dataset. It was introduced on 2026-06-23, when the provider restructured its Shopee export and moved these panelist-level fields out of the receipt table into a dedicated file delivered on the same schedule.

Each row is a snapshot of one panelist's account and demographic attributes as of a given delivery. The dataset supports research that requires panelist-level context — device type, account tenure, self-reported region, and, where available, age and gender — alongside the transaction-level detail in Shopee E-Receipt Data.

Data Description

Each row represents one panelist's account snapshot in one weekly delivery, keyed by the same panelist email-account identifier used in Shopee E-Receipt Data. Because the provider re-exports its current panelist roster with every delivery, a given panelist typically appears in more than one row across deliveries.

Fields include:

Panelist identifier — the email-account identifier joining this dataset to Shopee E-Receipt Data.
Device — operating system of the panelist's device, where reported.
Sync status — whether the panelist's email account is actively syncing.
Account timestamps — when the panelist's first and most recent e-receipt emails were received, when the panelist's account was created, when it was last updated, and, if applicable, when syncing was disabled.
Self-reported region — the panelist's country/region code.
Demographics (optional) — self-reported birth year and gender, each populated for roughly 60% of rows.

Coverage

Geographic coverage: panelist-reported country/region is more geographically scattered than the delivery-country field on Shopee E-Receipt Data. The large majority of panelists report a country among Shopee's core delivered markets (Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore), with a long tail of panelists reporting other countries.

Temporal coverage: Weekly snapshots through the same period covered by the Shopee E-Receipt Data.

Methodology

Panelist attributes are collected through the same Mailtime.ai / Reward.me email-sync process used for Shopee E-Receipt Data. Each delivery re-exports the current panelist roster's account and demographic attributes as a fresh snapshot; snapshots are appended, not merged, so no single delivery is authoritative for a panelist's full history.

Additional Notes

Because each delivery is a full roster snapshot rather than a changes-only feed, researchers who need one current record per panelist should deduplicate on the panelist identifier and keep the most recently updated snapshot rather than treat every row as a distinct panelist. Birth year and gender are self-reported and optional, so the absence of either should not be treated as a data quality defect.
