About Dewey Data

Dewey Data is an academic research data platform that consolidates premium, commercial datasets across a variety of categories, all in one location for your easy access. Featured datasets cover consumer behavior, workforce insights, real estate trends, mobility, and more.

Important terms and conditions

  1. Dewey provides data for academic and non-commercial research purposes only.
  2. Access to [University's] subscription is available to current [University] faculty, students, and staff only.
  3. You may collaborate with researchers from other universities as co-authors as long as:
    1. these external collaborators are active faculty or students of a University
    2. these external collaborators are not given access to raw data (unless they are covered by a separate Dewey Data agreement that includes equal data access)
  4. If [University's] license to Dewey Data ends, users must delete any data downloaded from Dewey Data. Note that data access may be extended if it is needed for a publication that was submitted for publication at the time the subscription ending.
  5. Users cannot compare/verify/evaluate Dewey’s data with other sources and publish those findings.
  6. Users cannot publish the data in raw form.

Steps to Get Started

Access to Dewey requires an individual account:

  1. Go to app.deweydata.io

  2. Login using your [University] email address

  3. Your SSO integration will immediately grant you access to download data OR

    Your account will be reviewed by your university administrator and you will receive an email within 48 hours granting you access.
