I am working with the Advan cell phone location data. When downloading the data, some of the compressed CSVs are empty (only contain 74 bytes):

Why does the location of some placekeys change over time? For example, the placekey "224-222@5zb-wwd-4qf" changes coordinates 4 times (and changes states 3 times) between 2019 - 2024.

Hi - I heard from a user that obtains Advan directly (not through dewey) that in February 2025 Advan discontinued the production of the weekly and monthly patterns datasets with legacy usage of Safegraph placekeys. They appear to now be producing Patterns+ which has their new version of a placekey (now called footprint_id) and the Patterns+ data is not linkable to Safegraph Spend, etc. Is Dewey still receiving a version of newly-produced data that has legacy placekeys? Are there any changes to the Advan weekly patterns data that Dewey continues to provide?

Is it possible to unlock customization options for the Advan Weekly Patterns so we can filter the data?

I calculated the sum of raw_visitor_counts data for each park in Los Angeles. In addition, I calculated the total number of visitors from different cbgs for each park. I found that although their pearson correlation coefficient is high (0.99), the raw_visitor_counts data is much larger than the total number of visitor_home_cbgs.

We were working on the Safegraph and Advan data. We noticed that Advan has "RAW_NUM_CUSTOMERS" and Safegraph has "RAW_VISITOR_COUNTS". Are these two variables connected?

I am wondering how the backfills actually work in the weekly patterns foot-traffic data. I understand that they are generated monthly, whenever a new Advan POI is added to the dataset and that this basically constitutes a back-attribution of past traffic in that POI's polygon. Does this revise any of the visit counts for nearby POIs? For instance, say I have two businesses next to each other and one is newly identified as a POI. Does the algorithm re-attribute some of the visits that were previously recorded under Business A to the newly-added Business B?
