ConsumerEdge variable clarification

Hi, I have some questions about consumer edge variables in Cross-Shop Brand Breakout and customer return behavior. In both of these datasets, there are variables SPEND_AMOUNT, TRANS_COUNT, and INDIVIDUAL_COUNT.

I am confused about how to interpret these variables in those cases.

  1. In the cross-shop brand breakout dataset, does SPEND_AMOUNT represent the amount in USD spent on both brands? Or does it represent the SPEND_AMOUNT of the group of customers that purchased both brands at a given time period? A similar question also applies to TRANS_COUNT and INDIVIDUAL_COUNT.
  2. In the customer return dataset, does SPEND_AMOUNT represent the amount the consumer returned at the given time period?
  3. I am confused about the first FAQ: Does it mean that the dataset contains entries with cross-shop brand from brand A to itself?
