We are currently working with the Safegraph spending series

(https://docs.deweydata.io/docs/safegraph-spend)

on the sample that include spending patterns for aggregate POI. We noticed that the amount of aggregate spending has a downward trend over time.

We looked into the documentation Dewey provided, but we cannot find any explanation.

Do you have any idea/suggestion on why? Could it be that Safegraph coverage diminished over this period due to external competition?
