Hi Dewey Team,

I’m trying to merge the Veraset Visits dataset with the SafeGraph Global Places (POI) & Geometry dataset, but I’m encountering issues with the identifier variables placekey and safegraph_place_id.
According to the documentation, both datasets appear to contain placekey and safegraph_place_id. However, in the data I downloaded:
• The Veraset Visits dataset contains safegraph_place_id, but placekey is missing for all of 2019 and most of 2020.
• The SafeGraph Global Places (POI) & Geometry dataset contains placekey, but does not appear to contain safegraph_place_id, despite the documentation and sample data indicating that it should.
Could you clarify whether safegraph_place_id is available in the Global Places dataset and, if so, how it can be accessed?
More generally, what is the recommended method for linking historical Veraset Visits records (particularly those without placekey) to the Global Places dataset? Is there a crosswalk between safegraph_place_id and placekey, or another way to recover the missing identifiers for earlier periods?
