Thoughts on deweydatar Package?

Hi! Is deweydatar (https://github.com/Dewey-Data/deweydatar) a viable way to access Dewey data? I'm leaning towards just working with Duck DB + Python, since that combo is thoroughly and current documented (https://docs.deweydata.io/docs/using-duckdb-with-dewey), but my colleagues are generally more comfortable in R, so it'd be great to know if there is a viable R option.

Dewey's Working with R documentation (https://docs.deweydata.io/docs/working-with-r) was updated more recently than the deweydatr GitHub repo (https://github.com/Dewey-Data/deweydatar), and the Dewey documentation says that "At this time, no native R package exists that can authenticate with the Dewey API or download datasets directly from within R." Given that, I'm thinking deweydatar may be defunct, and I'm not inclined to spend a ton of time investigating further, but I'd welcome insights from anyone who has.

Thanks in advance!
