Does filtering on region for POI data sets, subset to POIs in that region (with visits originating from visitor_home_CBGs outside the region) or both POI and visitor_home

I am using Advan data (both neighborhood patterns and weekly patterns). I am wondering, to facilitate chunking the data within the logic of the transformations that my project requires, if filtering the data by region filters based upon POI CBGs while permitting visitor_home_CBGs to be located outside the filter region, or filters on both POI_CBG and visitor_home_CBG?
