Verisk TCI Update and Schema Change

Affected datasets: Total Consumer Insights / Property Data

Verisk will release updates in the February 2026 delivery (expected Feb 20-25). If you customize this dataset starting February 20th, you will see these changes. You will access the complete dataset, you will see these changes on the scheduled unload date March 4th.

Please note, these changes may require workflow adjustments, and Verisk strongly encourages you to read the notice below in entirety:

Total Number of Bathrooms (All Buildings on Property)

Field Name: PROP_BATHSCALC | Field #: 35

Change: Reducing the placeholder value by one digit for easier interpretation

Example: Current (“30” = 3 bathrooms) à New (“3” = 3 bathrooms)

A one-time, larger than average variance will occur due to removal of digit place value; no data was added or removed.

Total Number of Bathrooms (Primary Building on Property)

Field Name: PROP_BATHS | Field #: 36

Change: Integrating additional partial (e.g. ½, ¼) bathrooms.

  • This increases field value precision, drawing on a greater pool of available source data.
  • A one-time modification of some field values will occur

Change: Changing numeric representation to now display two decimal place values

Example: Current (“3” = 3.25 bathrooms) à New (“325” = 3.25 bathrooms)

  • Supports change to field value precision
  • One-time change to previously rounded values, due to decimal place extension

Roof Cover and Roof Type

Field Name: PROP_ROOF_COVER | Field #: 45 Field Name: PROP_ROOF_TYPE | Field #: 46

Change: Applying unique value assignments to each field

  • Modifies current approach that mirrors values within both fields
  • A one-time variance change, due to the data assignment to a single field; no loss of data

Change: Consolidating like field values into a single value

  • Retires a limited set of duplicative field values
  • Shifts data from one value to another; no loss of data

Impacted Values (Retired Value à New Value Data Moved To)

Mortgage Refinance

Field Name: PROP_MTGREFICD | Field #: 69 Field Name: PROP_MTGREFICD2 | Field #: 81 Field Name: PROP_MTGREFICD3 | Field #: 93

Change: Adding new refinance value

  • New “R – Refinance” value available, representing the governing jurisdiction associates a refinanced mortgage with the property
  • Removes the “Retired” designation previously assigned to field
