Verisk - Changes to TCI Auto Ownership Fields
Update will be effective by the end of May 2025
As part of ongoing product updates, Verisk has announced an upcoming model refresh within the Total Consumer Insights (TCI) Auto dataset for the Auto Intelligence Models, In-Market and Affinities. This update is part of the ongoing maintenance to ensure the best model performance. There are no changes in field names, values or field lengths.
- The TCI Auto Intelligence In-Market signals measure a consumer’s likelihood to be in-market for a new or used vehicle. To build these signals Verisk assesses the attributes of consumers who recently purchased a vehicle, utilizing current and previous vehicle ownership data along with robust purchase transaction history, demographics and other proprietary deterministic data.
- The TCI Auto Intelligence Affinities identify a consumer’s likelihood to have an affinity for certain auto brands or styles. These models are based upon deterministic current and historic auto ownership details as well as insights from consumer, demographic and property data assets.
With this update you can expect following shifts:
- An average 8-10% increase in scored model coverage.
- With the increase in coverage, Nulls will decrease.
- While some model values will keep the same score, others will see movement to higher or lower values.
Note: The prior data dictionary included inaccurate descriptions for the numeric value representations in IN_MARKET_NEW_SCORE
and IN_MARKET_USED_SCORE
. This has been updated with a revision of the numeric values description indicating 1 = Highest Propensity and 100 = Lowest Propensity. There is no change to the actual data as a result of this layout update.
