What's Changing

We're rolling out a set of improvements to how the SimilarWeb dataset is accessed and delivered, giving you more flexibility and control over the data you work with.

Data Access:

Data for the current year (2026) is now fully accessible and customizable directly within the app. For data predating the current year, full historical archives are available via bulk download.

• When pulling from SimilarWeb's historical data, we recommend leveraging the command line's date partitioning to pull specific dates of data, keeping your downloads targeted and efficient.
• For users looking to apply more granular filtering after download, we recommend leveraging DuckDB for fast and local querying against partitioned files.

New: Short-Tail Keyword Data

We will be introducing a short-tail keyword module (25 keywords per domain) designed to create a more manageable and analysis-ready set of information for our users.
