Product Update 06/29/2026
13 days ago by Nolan Peters
At the end of June, Discussions is now in Dewey — our community space to ask questions and share resources has moved into the app — alongside a refreshed writing experience and new account-security safeguards.
Discussions, Now in Dewey
Discussions has moved into the app — ask questions, share resources, and connect with other Dewey users without leaving your account.
- Post types — Start a Question when you need an answer, share a Resource to help others, or open a general Discussion. Pick the type that fits when you create your post.
- Rich formatting — Write with bold, italics, links, and images, with consistent line and paragraph spacing so your posts read cleanly.
- Code blocks with syntax highlighting — Paste a snippet and Dewey automatically detects the language and highlights it. Every code block includes a one-click Copy button. Code in older posts renders correctly too.
- My Posts view — Filter the discussions list to see everything, or just the posts you've written.
Account Security: Email Re-Verification
To keep your account secure, Dewey now periodically confirms your email is still active.
- Periodic re-verification — From time to time you'll be asked to re-verify your email with a single click. This mainly affects users signing in through their university's SSO at participating institutions.
- Plenty of notice — We send reminder emails ahead of the deadline, so you can verify whenever it's convenient.
- Quick and easy — Just click the link in the email to confirm. If your email has changed, you can update it and verify the new address. Verification stays current for 90 days at a time.
