People Data Labs Company Update

We’ve rolled out several improvements and schema updates to our People Data Labs (PDL) Company Data integration.

🆕 New Fields

INDUSTRY_V2

• Added to the schema to represent self-reported industry from PDL’s expanded Canonical v2 Industries list.
• Returns null if no industry is identified.
• Reference the full list of canonical values here: PDL Canonical Field Values.

🗑️ Deprecated Field

GICS_SECTOR

• Removed (deprecated) due to redundancy with other PDL self-reported industry fields, which have higher coverage.
• Any existing uses of GICS_SECTOR should migrate to related industry fields for continued coverage. This field was redundant with other self-reported industry fields contained in other PDL company records (which have much higher coverage). As a result, PDL has deprecated this field in favor of our other industry field representations.

📈 Expanded Coverage

JOB_TITLE_CLASS

• Now included in the Company Executive Departures and Hires tables.
• Provides additional insight into executive role classifications.

🚀 Now Available

TOP_NEXT_EMPLOYER_12_MONTH

• Returns the top ten employers that new hires have joined within the past 12 months.

TOP_PREVIOUS_EMPLOYER_12_MONTH

• Returns the top ten previous employers of individuals who departed within the past 12 months.

TOP_US_EMPLOYEE_METRO

• Lists the top ten U.S. metro areas where employees are currently based.
